Is there any love for MVP/Axiom's 23 and 24.5 mm classes? I just picked up an awesome colored Excite and an Octane, both threw quite well especially considering I usually struggle with anything bigger than 22 mm rims. The Excite definitely is exciting, at least to me, as it shows some turn and still fades back nicely. The Octane is quite a bit beefier than I was expecting, or maybe it's the winter power loss, but it seems like a FH only disc at this point for me.

On a related note I get all the Hex hype as mine seems to do exactly as I release which should be great for ironing out some serious form flaws for sure. The Matrix I also threw with it was quite a bit more OS than the Hex, much bigger than the difference I was expecting between the two.

Ok so Drew Gibson....he was the leaky leak, he jumped on Simons coattails... he's suddenly pushed out a ton of gyro content hoping to gain some views. I was behind him trying some new things, I hadn't paid any attention to him at all before haha... I don't dislike him.. and then he does the "does gyro fly further" video.....

I'm all for some scientific testing and promoting of gyro but that filled my BS meter to the top. One non gyro boss and another 6 or 7 MVP/Axiom he'd never thrown before. Sure they landed further (which he discounted ) it just seemed amateur and hasty/hacky. Kinda like a Geraldo Gyrovera Nosense Sensational Piece

Whats the word on the street? I was looking for a "Stupid things that make me mildy annoyed" thread.

...edit and I got a Hexolizzotle in the mail.. Gotta love Feb3 on the east coast!

Plus, he needs to teach his girlfriend how to zoom the camera so you can see the shots. He has a few good videos on his channel but most suffer from terrible camera work even when he does have a good idea for the video.

I just got/held a Pyro for the first time and it's a thing of beauty. Crazy how after a long time playing you can just hold a disc and know it's flight based on feel alone (hope I'm not wrong). Cannot wait to get out and play a round with it!

Ya, that video clearly had a conclusion drawn before the "science" started. He assumes he reached the correct conclusion, and most of us do too, but he did "science" dirty that day.

One thing I got out of this video was that MVP has way more high speed drivers than I realized.

I'm looking at the Guld and XCal to try out for distance into wind. Anyone have suggestions for wind fighting distance ala Gyro?

Panic, I was throwing it in very windy conditions today and it wasn't as long as the Guld I was also trying but the Guld got batted around by the wind a good bit while the Panic was just going hard and 390-420 every time.

Think I could get it farther if it wasn't super windy, but it doesn't react to the wind strongly.

Regarding Drew having videos throwing MVP/Axiom/Streamline...my opinion....

Simon just made MVP/Axiom/Streamline more 'noticeable'. Even James Conrad didn't bring this much attention to MVP/Axiom/Streamline. So now people (and yes, pros are people) are wondering - what is it with gyro discs. So the ones who can are giving them a try. I don't believe Drew is 'jumping on a bandwagon'...I think he's just curious and taking us along with him. Since he can throw an open bag, it makes sense to try out different brands/molds. I like that he's "taking us along" so that we can see what he thinks about them. But it's like anything, you have to see what their comments/conclusions are and then figure out for yourself what it means. I don't throw anywhere near how Drew does....so my results are way different from him. But I still like seeing him throw them and hearing what he thinks. Same with Simon's videos, I love seeing what he does with the discs and how he feels about them....but his results and mine will probably never match up.

If anyone is curious about MVP, look up the Disc Golf Down Under channel … he does some nice deep dives into discs, plastics, etc. Simon even gave him a shout out a few weeks back.

Threw miserably today but the Fission Hex is still an exceptional piece of work. I understand the excitement over the Eclipse but I can't imagine wanting anything else in that slot.

I tried to hate it, it's missing some touch, kinda one of those autocorrect to straight kind of toys...

It crept into my bag, snuck in the backdoor on a trick shot or two. Kinda found a place as long as I'm not throwing it "to throw it" . I used to love getting in people's craw with a putter or a lid when they tee up on a driver.

It's one more mold I don't need, but I miss it when it's not around.

It's definitely a weird one, it would appeal to ams. I've hear impressive declarations of love from lower level players.

The glitch is a little different with the straight flight, I can probably use something else 90 percent of the time.... But the glitch shines on short anhyzers and weird approaches and **** the bed straight shots.

I threw a friends once and didn't like it, but I'll likely grab one if I ever get the chance.

Not sure what it's going to do that my Berg/Spin/mid combo can't do.

Still waiting to throw a Rhythm - they are taking ages to get to Australia.
