How close is " parked " ?

Where's hysell with a comment like, "I consider anything within 100 feet parked, but I'm usually only looking at a 10-footer." :p

i'd agree with the putting range thing, but there is never a sure thing until you've holed out. And you're never parked if you miss the putt.

I'm a bit disappointed that I wasn't asked this question directly, but in all my years of experience I would say under the basket to where you can simply reach out and drop it in is a "park job". All others are just sweet friggin' shots. IMO

This! It was BRUTAL today. We played a kiddie course at a middle school and my 2 discs of choice were a banshee and a gator...it was NASTY!!

Funny thing was I got 2 birdies today thanks to the wind. A 40' turned and blew right into the basket and another one about as far that I tried to ground and it blew right in.

It was fun but parked became a literal drop in. Normally I would say 15' or so.

Northwestern I'm assuming? I threw on it the day they put up the baskets (no tee flags yet) and used just putters. I couldn't imagine the wind being at Banshee level.

Parked for me is anywhere where I believe I have a 100% chance of making the putt.

Funny guy!

I consider parked a drop in, or maybe even under the basket or touching the pole. And how many times have you thought it was parked only to find out your depth perception sucks!?

for me within arms reach is parked i for some reason dont trust my putting.
But i play with some guys that if it looks even remotely close to the basket from the tee they say its parked

It's not parked unless it is a give me. It is good if it is a little further away but a putt that you should make.

I think "park jobs" have been discussed in other threads, all of which are now in The Landfill. ;)

parked is when you know you wont miss.

Yeah it was there, a voodoo and maybe a cobra would probably be my normal fare but on hole 1 when my gazelle flipped like a burger at 5 guys I decided it was a banshee and gator day for sure.

Think of the metaphor guys. Would you rather park your car right next to your house, or a block away? If you're not right next to the basket (within arm's reach), you are not parked. Sorry.

just outside a decent arm stretch is an absolute gimmie in my book... other than that it is dependant on personal comfort zone.. so for me? 50 feet.
