So 99% of the time disc golfers are "cheap asses" and worry about spending $20 on a disc but will happily turn down $10 for a throw on a course.

This place never fails to amaze me.

^^ im with ya homie .. ill take the $10 buy some brews and enjoy getting some bogeys with my buddies! :)

He is the one who said over and over...

Are you reading the same thread as the rest of us are? There was no mention of repetition of action in the OP.

Has nothing to do with a persons status.

Aces are just a throw on a disc golf course. Its fun and a good time.

$10 can do a lot of things. Lots of $10 bills can do a lot more things. And to say $10k in 3 years isnt a lot of money well your just being silly.

Id take a free 10k investment every 3 years and never have another ace. Ill probably forget by the time im 60 years old. Hell im having a hard timr remembering the handful i do have and the most recent were just another throw.

@danjon maybe some of you just make terrible financial decisions:)

$10 one time can do a lot of things...one time. $10 a day over 1000 days is a lot of money when you don't have to do anything for it, and I would happily take it if offered. But I'd trade a handful of those $10 bills for a handful of aces and bank the other 995.

$10 a day over 1000 days when you DO have to work for it is barely worth any gainfully employed person's time. A minimum wage worker makes that after taxes in two hours. Any of us could probably make that just selling one used premium disc. If one lived in a bottle deposit state, they could harvest beverage containers from park trash dumpsters and roadsides and make it very easily.

Feel free to paypal me all your lousy $10 bills.

Why? You're giving us the entertainment of your obtuse perspective of the world for free...

...over a hypothetical subject, with no real world practical application, that you've gone off onto a completely different tangent on no less.

I think youre a bit too emotional about DGCR posts. I mean you asked me if i read the OP. Did YOU? This whole thing is well.....

Do you frolf brah? Your ability to keep up with a conversation in a thread isnt very good. Re-read and get back to me. I wasnt addressing the OP at one point lol. Use both eyes?

I can get a pretty good sandwich for $10. /JukeshoeLogic

I voted for the cash, but it depends on circumstances.

My vote was imagining an ace witnessed by few or none during a practice round on bald eagle on a hole that I've aced before. I don't really have a desire for any more of those kinds of aces. Now if it was on one of the more difficult holes and there were at least a couple witnesses I'd take an ace on 6 or 7, or any hole on golden eagle before the cash. Outside my own course, I'd probably take the ace more often than not, especially if there are witnesses, or a huge crowd, or on film.

In summary - Boring plain ol' ace or $10? give me the cash money. Exciting challenging ace where lots of people are high fiving and cheering or $10? Keep your damn $$.

The question asked was would you rather have $10 or an ace.

I would rather have an ace in that one time scenario, because I put a higher value on the ace than $10.

$10 is not a lot of money for a one time deal.

There are so many unknowns. In general, would I rather have $10 than a random ace? Sure. Why not? If solo or casual, an ace is just a throw. If a tourney or league, something that pays an ace, things are obviously a bit different. $10 can buy beer or something. Far too many unknowns.

^^ All of your "unknowns" amount to one question, "does the ace pay money or not?" He already answered that, No. I mean, that much is obvious, right? We don't need to know the answer to whether you want a pile of money or $10.

Give me an the ace.

You must not have many aces. Cool.

An ace isn't giving me a burrito, a sixer or half a tank of gas. I'm not broke by any means, but an ace really isn't all that. Unless it's a tourney, an ace is just another throw. If you choose to dwell in the halls of memory, reliving that day when you had a lucky throw, good for you. Some of us outgrow that Al Bundy "I was high school star" mentality.

Did you intend to reply to someone else, because your response has zero correlation to my post?

You said there were "too many unknowns." When really, you listed ONE. You wanted to know if the ace paid money, which the OP stated it did not. Since you were struggling with reading comprehension, as demonstrated twice now, I was helping you to understand the OP's question.

As for your misguided reply, using your flawed logic, that must mean you are hard up for money. I have won 50k in a competition before, so maybe I am jaded to the value of a big $10 payday. Good luck chasing down your next Hamilton! Oh, and I'd almost certainly crush you in Disc Golf, too.

The Ace easily. Everything has to be just right when you throw and maybe a little luck thrown in.

Where's the luck in getting $10: in California, just work 1 hour at your job, well a little over an hour to account for taxes and other deductions.

so much funny in this post!

bragging about finances? check!

boasting about disc golf prowess? check!

only thing missing is a reference to your schlong!

c'mon buddy, brag about your wiener! you know you want to...

OP just wanted to see how many people he could get to participate in his Ace Poll.
