Remember your first ace???

Who would want to do that?
On some badly designed courses with neighboring baskets too close together they tend to happen on accident occasionally. Either that or you just get off a crappy throw.

I've hit "black chains" before. Thankfully, the basket was a piece of crap and it didn't stick. Owed everyone on the card $1 as it was.

10 years ago, white birch park, hole 13, dx shark. :D

about the black ace thing, was playing another round just this year at endicott park in st. louis; i tell everyone else i was with that YOU pay EVERYONE ELSE $5 if you hit a black ace. 12 seconds later, i BOUNCE OUT of 5's basket when i was shooting for 6. not fun.

not sure if facing the embarrassment or ponying up the 20 bucks would've been worse...

August 1, 1989 with a DX Cobra........ Raintree Park, Troy MI - Hole #8, 257 ft.

The 5 people that saw/heard it were in the parking lot and had no interest in DG so I never got it signed.

I dont remember when it happened but it was #6 at my local course. A smoothly thrown ESP Comet does the trick, as I've aced that hole three times now. And no I didnt sign the basket/disc or any of that other gay sh*t. Prolly why I dont remember when it was haha.

Laser shot with a Factory Second (misprint) FLX Surge. This was at a time when I could only throw 325' feet and the basket was 310' (Bassett Creek #5). I never could repeat that shot. The cool thing was that since it was a laser shot we, the five of us, had all afternoon to basically watch the shot head at the basket. I had my hands and arms half raised for the last 30% of the shot in anticipation because it was going to be not only my first ace, but the first ace our amateur league had ever collectively got.

I have 13 aces but 10 of those are from solo rounds where I only have had some random spectators to say "nice shot." This first ace was beyond awesome because I had someone to share the excitement with. My second to last ace I have collected was also with friends, hole #25 at BRP. That was a great moment too. Normally when you play with friends they have a tendency to make fun of you when you make bad shots and curse your good luck when you shoot better than them. Yet for an ace all of that is swept aside and you can all cheer together.
