Is "folf" now frowned upon in serious circles? I'm trying to educate people in my town that has a new 9 hole course and a lot of people are saying "folf" as opposed to disc golf.

frolf is better
Disc golf course.
F(r)olf is no bueno. May as well nip it in the bud early.
If you can include pictures in the article, have a side by side of a disc golf disc and a beach frisbee, so people get an idea of the difference.
Every time disc golf appears on the news it seems they must emphasize disc, and especially the K sound at the end of disc, and it ends up like this:
Disc (pause) Golf
"Now we turn to our assistant to the intern in the backup weekend sports reporting team, who brought in a story about Disc (pause) Golf."
They always seem so uncomfortable saying it, like they're incredulous that such a thing could even exist. :\
Folf is completely normal and accepted in the state of Montana and some other minor areas of the NW, they look at you weird if you say "disc golf"
