Time to sticky up the annual ace thread! :p

Headed out to New Years at Winton again, and threw the front nine as a practice round, acing hole 1. Couldn't do it in the tourney, but still nice to ace on New Years!

Shenantaha Creek Park
Hole 7, 203'

awesome you killed it on the first go....

It's the type of hole you'll being making 2 most of the time so I knew I could get it close. I was hoping to catch that shot, but it was still a surprise it actually happened.

Secured my "One Ace in 2020" goal already!

Borden Park in Kingsport, Tenn.
Hole #15, 245 feet.

My boys and I hosted a Team Challenge in January, where two rivals in match play, aced on the same hole, same card, back to back. Its a safari hole we often use, where you can play for three, wide left up the fairway, or risk hanging it over the road for the birdie. It was aces in their case. Ever see a back to back during a tournament?

DGCR 2020 Aces

So mine was not a Double G aces with loads of talent watching as he hit a 432ft bomb. It's a flippy Firebird flick on a skip that only I saw. Hole 2 Covenant in Greenville NC 200ft if that. The guys on 1 were to busy yapping to notice and rather then celebrate I took a picture of the disc, sent it to my son and went on with my round.

Unfortunately I only have a cubby ace to report from yesterday's solo round but still thought it's worth sharing. Hole 2 at TC Jester is an open 360 foot hole with a few mature trees to avoid. After getting a DX Roc within 15 feet with the tailwind with I decided to rip a DX Teebird to see how well it would carry. It popped up beautifully from hyzer left of the basket and when it started to fade I thought it was well deep of the basket. Instead it crashed high and center in the chains!

Hit my first ace of 2020 today (yesterday technically) and 10th overall. Hole 9 at my local course, Braem park. It's a sub 200 foot hole, 170 feet maybe. Infinite Discs metal fake Ra up the gut. Nice to get one on the board this early in the year.

First ace since 2017, fourth overall (not counting the two cubby aces). I went one a year from 2015 to 2017, but petered out, so this is welcome!

Best part, I've been filming my rounds with two cameras (ok, iPhones, one behind and one catch cam), so I am pretty excited to get this round edited! I know ahead of time... the disc is purple, and it was a gloomy day, so it's kind of tough to see. Oh well! Easter Ace!

213 foot hole. Star WhippetX, forehand hyzer, skipped in.

About a year ago, I switched from Firebird to the Whippet on this hole. I had previously aced it multiple times with the Firebird, but I was going too far past the basket to make my birdie way too often.

I was getting fewer ace runs with the Whippet, but a way higher birdie percentage.

Happy to finally get the ace with the Whippet so I can stop being tempted to switch back to the Firebird.
