Fourthed. But I still would rather do it earlier in the year like march or April. summer is way busy for me at least. Plus I don't want to wait that long.

Wow!! hey stranger!! Shuie makes a rare internet appearance ladies and gentlemen!! *crowd cheers and applauds*

Not a real fan on Pinto Lake myself the middle 9 are a bit too open for my tastes.
As far as camping here are the best options in the area:
New Brighton is a great location (on the cliffs above the beach), close to both DeLa and Aptos courses. The draw back is it is hard to get a reservation....although getting a group site might be easier.

Henry Cowell is another option (in the Redwoods), close to both DeLa and Black Mouse courses.
Should be easier to get a site here:

I like the Henry Cowell idea. Me and my friends used to hike around there with portables. oh yeah there is also DE LAAAAAA right there.

There is also a private course in Wrightwood that could be cool.

Wrightwood Country Club isn't that great of a course. They did a good job with the land they have but I don't think they'll want a bunch of smellies invading.

Ok, so I read though the first 17 pages..... I'm in the Bakersfield area of the CENTRAL valley, I have played Lake Casitas more than once and it would definatly get my vote. Great course and great camping. Tell where and when and I'll show up..... Sounds fun and maybe I can finally exchange this damn travel tag!

What can you tell us about courses in your area?

We have 2 incredible courses in Bakersfield, Hart Park "Suicide Flats" and "Shark Tooth". Both would be awesome for this event, but camping is a little bit away..... Lake Casitas is awesome and has camping right on the course!

I forgot about these campgrounds, Being from the area, I don't camp near by or know anything about the campsites... http://www.co.kern.ca.us/parks/kern-river-camp.asp Camping 4-5 minutes away from Hart park and these courses...
Suicide Flats http://www.dgcoursereview.com/course.php?id=3092
Shark Tooth http://www.dgcoursereview.com/course.php?id=2807

I DO NOT know anything about the campgrounds, Dicky rangers?, drinking?, quiet hours?......

2 first class courses and close camping. A little more centrally located than Lake Casitas, maybe not going to interest the far northerners but California is one long assed state and it will be tough to have one meet up that make everyone happy..... Bakersfield is already close to 5 hours from parts of San Diego county and about the same to Sacramento and San Fransisco....

Playing Devil's advocate... isn't Casitas a bit south for the Norcalers to come to? Aren't we trying to meet new peeps?

All I was saying is that seems to be the spot most wanted to go to. I have been screaming for a central location the whole time.
And to be Devil's Advocate to your Devils Advocate, if we're splitting into two different meetings, are the NorCals going to have their meetup centrally located as well? I thought they were looking at Toney's Mountain Golf, located north of Sacramento......
