So, I was looking at my reviews list and decided to list my number of courses reviewed by year.

2009: 1 course reviewed
2010: 2 courses reviewed
2011: 6 courses reviewed
2012: 7 courses reviewed
2013: 12 courses reviewed
2014: 10 courses reviewed
2015: 12 courses reviewed
2016: 24 courses reviewed

Have I peaked? The problem now is that I will have to drive a minimum of around 150+ miles to get to a course that I haven't played/reviewed yet. (I have a lot of played but not reviewed courses, but I haven't played a lot of them in over 15-20 years).

I'm curious to see other reviewers TR evolution, especially the Diamonds.

2007: 2 courses reviewed
2008: 14 courses reviewed
2009: 24 course reviewed
2010: 11 courses reviewed
2011: 2 courses reviewed
2012: 5 courses reviewed
2013: 5 courses reviewed
2014: 1 course reviewed
2015: 5 courses reviewed in 5 different states
2016: 7 courses reviewed in 6 different states

I've played in 35 states and reviewed 20 different states which evidently is Silver level.

I was on this site fairly early, back when there weren't all that many reviews, and had done a lot of traveling from 1996-2004, so I wrote reviews for the courses in my backlog that I was familiar enough with that I could add to the sparse information. Many are fairly brief, preceding the trend towards epic reviews---which being overly wordy, I've happily joined--but since 2004 I haven't traveled or played nearly as many courses, and am more selective in wanting to play a course enough to do a detailed review. The result?

I definitely could be writing more reviews, as I get a chance to play outlying courses because of travel for work.

75 of my 100 reviews were in the first two years on here. Only 25 in the six years since. This year will be the first gooseegg since I joined.

My last review was in January of 2015, so basically two years since I wrote a review. One of my kids plays now, so I've been taking her to places I think she will like i.e. places I've already reviewed. I've bagged two courses since my last review. One course was unfinished and the other course I threw out my back and auto piloted the last half of the course. I didn't feel like I had a feel for either one.

And btw most of the courses I play are in rural areas so I hardly ever get Likes for my reviews. So feel free to help me out!

There are few courses not reviewed in this timeline that were played that I simply forgot to write or wrote and forgot to submit. Unfortunately, too much time had passed by the time I remembered. I fully expect to average 30 + reviews each year for the next 3 years or so.

1st 4 years was a lot of reviewing courses I had played prior to joining DGCR. Actually I was quite shocked when I looked this up that I wrote 63 in a year...twice! (but at least I am not the only one with stupid high numbers sometimes)
2014- I had my first child born in Nov of 2013, so that accounts for the out of place low number that year.

To be honest, I used to write most of my reviews at work, but the past couple of years, my job's kept me busy, particularly the times after I've returned from recent road trips. If I don't review a course within a month or two of playing it, it sint happening.

Perhaps an even bigger reason is I used to print custom maps/scorecards for roadtrips, and would usually write review notes on them during or after a round. The past couple of years, I've been keeping score with the DGCR app, and the notes just aren't happening.
