Trivial Trusted Reviewer Stats

Speaking of Trivia: it's been a year to the day since the TR Stats page had an update, so when my dentist postponed me this morning, I updated the page. Congrats to 3 new Diamond Trusted Reviewers, 2 new Gold Trusted Reviewers, and 5 new Silver Trusted Reviewers in 2016!

I'm starting to lose road trip opportunities but new course growth has helped keep my numbers stable.

Thanks for doing this. It is nice to be able to watch the progress of various reviewers.

It would be 6 new STR this year if just one more person would give me a thumb up lol.

Ok. j/k nevermind...I know I might be incurring the wrath of thumb downers by just mentioning that haha.

I think that you are in good company in here.

To be honest, I used to write most of my reviews at work, but the past couple of years, my job's kept me busy, particularly the times after I've returned from recent road trips. If I don't review a course within a month or two of playing it, it sint happening.

Perhaps an even bigger reason is I used to print custom maps/scorecards for roadtrips, and would usually write review notes on them during or after a round. The past couple of years, I've been keeping score with the DGCR app, and the notes just aren't happening.

At first read, I thought the bolded section described me perfectly. I used to have so much dead time at work. I had time to kill and a decent internet connection.

In 2014, the company where I worked for almost a decade went out of business. I've been at my current company for nearly 2 years. The days of writing course reviews and doing fantasy football research at work are long gone.

But now that I look at the numbers, I was only really an active reviewer in 2010. Guess I need a different excuse.:p

2009 - 6
2010 - 28

2012 - 1
2013 - 2
2014 -7
2015 - 1
2016 - 2

I've been pretty consistent the last 5 years. I'm fortunate to live in New England with a ton of courses within 2 hours, so there is always a fun day trip available to knock off 2-3 courses. It's much better than when I lived in Vegas or Nebraska.

I also make sure to play at least one course any time I travel somewhere.

It is tough to get thumbs up on reviews anymore. I'm lucky to get two thumbs on any review now, so even though I'm at 970 thumbs up, it may be awhile before I get to Diamond. :)

Nothing too exciting there, I'm in the slow & steady category. Yawn.

I havent been on the site al that long but I've been like this;

2013; 4
2014; 21
2015; 21
2016; 7

I traveled less that normal this year and have hit almost everything between Atlanta and Tennessee.

I was having that problem for a while, and having to travel out of state or wait for new course to pop up close to home. So, I just moved to Kansas from South Carolina, and now I have a fresh slate of good new courses in range of the new HQ. Disc golf wasn't the sole purpose of the move, but it did factor into the decision. Should be a handful of new reviews to start 2017 after this new years weekend. The Hippodrome has multiple courses, and they have redesigned the layout and the old reviews were taken down so I have a couple of repeat reviews from there. Do what you gotta do to keep those reviews coming!

2010 - 11
2011 - 35
2012 - 17
2013 - 20
2014 - 49
2015 - 23
2016 - 40

2009 - 21

2011 - 23
2012 - 39
2013 - 9
2014 -11
2015 - 9
2016 - 6

That's interesting to look at. '11 and '12 were my last two years of college before the real world started. :(

this is the best part about moving

since i moved here 7 years ago i've played over 150 TX courses and 22 in OK

Reviews

2016-57 reviews
2017-6 (pending reviews)

Although I'm not a trusted reviewer, I have some similar thoughts. I Had only played a couple handfuls of courses in Austin Texas until Dec of 2015. I knew I was moving to Florida in spring 2016, so I started playing a course every week before the impending move. The trill of playing new courses continued after my move to Florida. So far 54 new courses hit this year and will hit one more today. I don't foresee getting beyond 25 reviews in 2017, as I echo the comment of running out of nearby courses to play.

How many of the courses you guys review are just played for the fact that you will review them and bag more courses?
